Ross Steidel’s Poi Dog (Lahaina, Hawai’i)
1 ½ oz OCEAN Organic Vodka
¾ oz Thai Basil and Black Peppercorn Syrup
¾ oz Yuzu Citrus (¼ oz Yuzu Juice ½ oz Lemon Juice)
2 ½ oz Fresh Squeezed Pomelo or Grapefruit Juice
Kosher Salt and Black Pepper Rim
Rim half of Collins glass with salt and pepper. In a mixing tin, combine all ingredients and shake for 10 seconds. Strain over fresh ice into Collins glass. Garnish with on sprig of Italian Basil.


Amie Fujiwara’s Waiona (Honolulu, Hawai’i)
2 oz OCEAN Organic Vodka
¾ oz Hawaiian Ginger Simple Syrup
½ Fresh Lime
2 T. Local Mango from your Neighbor’s Tree
6 Mint Leaves
3 Basil Leaves
¼ oz Coconut Crème
Muddle lime, mint, basil, and mango. Add Ocean Vodka and ginger simple syrup. Shake very well and strain into glass filled with ice. Top with a drizzle of coconut crème. Garnish with mint and basil leaves.
Special notes: All ingredients in this cocktail are grown in Hawaii, making it a fantastic Farm to Bar cocktail! The name “Wai’ona” means “intoxicating spirit” in Hawaiian!


Allison Bellows’ Pele’s Pineapple (Waialua, Hawai’i)
1 ½ oz OCEAN Organic Vodka
½ oz Combier L’orange
2 Lime Wedges
3 oz Coconut Water
1 oz Pineapple Juice
⅓ Serrano Pepper
Handful of Cilantro
2-3 Cubes of Fresh Pineapple
Muddle Serrano pepper with the leaves from 3 stems of cilantro and cubes of fresh pineapple. Add Ocean Vodka, Combier L’orange, juice from 2 lime wedges, coconut water and pineapple juice. Shake and strain over ice. Garnish with cilantro sprig and fresh pineapple.


Victor Mendoza’s Napili Tini (Lahaina, Hawai’i)
2 oz OCEAN Organic Vodka
3 oz Muddled Watermelon
½ Napili Flo Liliko’i
3 oz Coconut Water
Splash of Soda Water
Fresh Coconut Simple Syrup
Roasted Coconut
2 Lime Wheels
Muddle and strain local watermelon, add liliko’i, coconut water, Ocean Vodka into a tumbler and add ice. Shake and strain into a martini glass that’s rimmed with fresh coconut simple syrup and toasted coconut shavings. Finish with a splash of soda water for carbonation and 2 lime wheels inside glass for citrus.


James Shoemaker’s The Pineapple Express (Kihei, Hawai’i)
2 oz OCEAN Organic Vodka
¾ oz Fresh Lemon Juice
¾ oz Upcountry Honey
Maui Farm Fresh Thai Basil
Maui Gold Pineapple
Gossling’s Ginger Beer (*)
In a pint glass, muddle pineapple & basil. Add ice, vodka, lemon and honey. Shake vigorously. Strain contents over fresh ice into glass. Finish with ginger beer. Easy stir, and garnish with a basil flower. Okolemaluna!


Daniel Vincent’s Cucumber Cooler (Austin, Texas)
2 oz OCEAN Organic Vodka            6 Leaves of Cilantro
1 inch of Cucumber Diced                Seltzer
1 inch of Pineapple Diced                 Squeeze of Lime Wedge
1 oz Pineapple Juice                          Ice
1 oz Agave
Pinch of Chinese Five Spice
Pinch of Cinnamon
Muddle all ingredients from vodka to cilantro. Add ice and shake till mixed/cooled. Fill chilled cocktail glass with ice. Pour shaker contents over ice. Top off with seltzer and squeeze lime over top. Garnish with cucumber wave skewered and mint.

The Ultimate OCEAN Showdown features the top six finalist cocktails selected from hundreds of entries. Each finalist is paired with a celebrity chef as well as a Maui-based non-profit organization. Guests along with a panel of judges will be asked to vote for their favorite cocktail as well as “best food pairing”. Following the theme of Table to Farm, each chef will create a dish to pair with the finalist cocktail. The winning cocktail recipe will be named Ultimate OCEAN Cocktail and will be featured on the menus of Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa for one year with a portion of proceeds from the sale of the cocktail being donated to the paired Maui-based non-profit organization throughout the year.

Celebrity chefs participating in the event include Lee Anne Wong from Koko Head Café in Kaimuki Oahu, Shawn Gavin from the St. Regis Princeville Kauai, Sheldon Simeon from Migrant in Wailea Maui, Hank Adaniya from Hank’s Haute Dogs in Kaka‘ako Oahu, Will Chen From fresh BOX in Manoa Oahu  and Brandon Lee from The Pig and the Lady in Honolulu Oahu. Entertainment for the evening will include a performance by CrazyFingers. Event ticket holders will have free entry to the Afterparty at Black Rock Lounge.
